The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, was awarded the African Leadership Award by Africa House, after an event held in Davos, Switzerland.
This award was given in honor of President Hassan Sheikh’s leadership in the development of government, re-liberation and the implementation of Somalia’s debt relief plan.
Also President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud who spoke at the event where he received the award thanked Africa House for the consideration and assessment of the progress made by the government and the Somali people.
“This award is a recognition of the perseverance, courage, and determination of the Somali people. I am very happy and honored to receive this award, dedicating it to the Somali people,” said President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
On the other hand, the event was presented with the achievements of the government led by the President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, in the reconstruction of the army, the lifting of the arms embargo on the country and the joining of Somalia in the East African Economic Cooperation (EAC).
