Turkey to continue to strengthen its relations with African Countries.

Turkey government has said that it is strengthening its deep ties with Africa, having held the last meeting of Africa in Djibouti.

Turkey has made many investments in the African continent in recent years, with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan making 50 visits to 31 countries during his twenty years in power.

Among the fourteen African countries participated in the last ministerial meeting in Djibouti at the end of last week are Angola, Chad, Comoros, Republic of Congo, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Libya, Mauritania, Nigeria, South Sudan, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Hakan Fidan, said that the trade in the continent exceeded 35 billion dollars last year, and the direct investment in Turkey now reaches 7 billion dollars.

Turkey has become the fourth largest supplier of arms to sub-Saharan Africa, and has helped train the armed forces of many countries.
