The third round of talks aimed at resolving the crisis between Somalia and Ethiopia on maritime issues is set to begin in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
The Somali government said it is committed to protecting the independence, unity and territorial integrity of Somalia.
Although the delegation of the Somali government led by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is currently in Ankara, there are still no details on whether Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed will attend the meeting and go to Turkey.
The conflict between Somalia and Ethiopia erupted after the self-proclaimed independent Republic of Somaliland and the Ethiopian government signed a memorandum of understanding in January of this year.
