The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Hamsa Abdi Barre, chaired an emergency meeting to discuss the security of the capital and surrounding areas and the operations to eradicate the Al Shabab groups.
The Prime Minister said that his Government will move to the forefront of the fight to eradicate the Al Shabab groups that are hiding in parts of the country.
He added that the Somali people have a significant opportunity to end the Al Shabab groups in a short period of time, as they are at the end of their lives.
He also urged Somali people to join hands to play a role in protecting their security and stability in the country, directing security agencies to further strengthen security in the capital.
The meeting also commended the ongoing operations by the national and local forces to eliminate the groups that have shed the blood of the Somali people, which will be purged from the entire country.
