Egypt’s State Information Service (SIS) has denied reports that Egypt is ready to “resettle half a million Gazans” on its territory.
Egypt’s statement came after several newspapers, including Israeli ones, published the reports.
President Sisi has denied reports that he is ready to transfer half a million Palestinians from Gaza to Egyptian territory.
The newspaper’s report coincides with a statement by Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, who indicated that a plan proposed by US President Donald Trump to develop Gaza is being implemented while Israel continues to bomb the territory.
Egypt noted that it “clearly and completely rejects any attempt to displace Palestinians from Gaza, whether by force or by their own will.”
