The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has appointed the Governor of Banadir Region and the Mayor of Mogadishu, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Amir, who is a scholar who has worked in the fields of economy, social development and administration and management.
In a decree issued by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the Governor of Banadir Region and the Mayor of Mogadishu appointed Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Amir, whom Villa Somalia described as an expert who has worked in economic, community development and administration and management.
The President has instructed the new Governor of Mogadishu, who is the Mayor of Mogadishu, to complete the development plans of Mogadishu, prioritizing the development of the city, delivering public elections to the people of the capital, enhancing the beauty of the capital, providing basic services and strengthening security, as said the President of Somalia.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud wished the new Governor of Banadir Region and the Mayor of Mogadishu, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Amir, to ease the heavy responsibility entrusted to him, and urged him to serve the Somali community with efficiency, honesty and diligence.
