Hamas authorities have so far released two out of three Israeli prisoners, and handed them over to the International Red Cross.
The three prisoners were named Ofer Kalderon, Keith Siegel and Yarden Bibas.
Reports said that 183 Palestinian prisoners, who have been in Israeli prisons for some time, will be released this afternoon.
The exchange of prisoners comes at a time when the Israeli army continues its military operations in the occupied West Bank, targeting the refugee camps in Jenin, Tulkarem and places of refuge for Palestinian communities.
The latest Israeli operations have killed more than twenty people since last week.
On the other hand, the World Health Organization (WHO) said that 50 Palestinians who need treatment abroad will be allowed to leave Gaza through the Rafah crossing in Egypt
