The Commander of the Somali Police Force, Brigadier General Asad Osman Abdullahi, received Mohammad Jamil Yousef, the Police Commander of the United Nations Peacekeeping Forces in Somalia UNTMIS, in his office.
In a special meeting held by the two commanders, they discussed the preparation for the transition period and the role of the Police Force, the strengthening of cooperation and cooperation between the Somali Police Force and the United Nations.
Brigadier General Asad Osman Abdullahi also shared with the Commander of UNTMIS the contributions he made during his tenure in the police strategic plan based on accountability, building trust in the work of the Army, modernizing the security infrastructure and the army’s technology to improve their skills and efficiency.
Commander Mohammad Jamil Yusuf welcomed the new plan and promised to strengthen their support to the police, and the Commander of the Somali Police Force awarded him a medal of honor for improving and strengthening cooperation between them during the short time the Commander was in office.
