The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, today opened the 7th Judicial Conference of the country.
The President said that the review and completion of Chapter 9 of the Constitution is fundamental to finding a judicial system that is compatible with the needs of the community and the recovery of the country.
The President pointed out the significant achievements in recent years in the development of the country’s judiciary, which include the recruitment of new officials through an open and fair competition process and the implementation of the electronic system of proceedings, which constantly being developed to speed up the flow of judicial services.
Also, the President of the Republic emphasized the government’s commitment to complete the construction of a modern, efficient judicial system based on the Islamic Sharia, presenting the measures to ensure it, including the establishment of the Constitutional Court, high taking the budget of judicial institutions and broadcasting the judicial service of the country.
