His Excellency President HassanSMohamud spoke by phone with H.E. President RTErdogan of the Republic of Türkiye. They discussed strengthening the Somalia–Türkiye strategic partnership, particularly in the areas of energy, the blue economy, and security.
President Erdoğan reaffirmed Türkiye’s support for Somalia’s development agenda, including democratization efforts, and pledged continued assistance in combating international terrorism.
President Hassan Sheikh congratulated the Turkish people on the recent disarmament and self-dissolution of the PKK terrorist group—an important milestone for Türkiye’s future. He also extended warm Eid al-Adha greetings to President Erdoğan and the people of Türkiye.
