There is tension in Badhadhe District of Lower Jubba Region, especially Raskambooni town which was recently taken over by troops of the Federal Government of Somalia.
Reports from the area of Kudhaa, which is 78 km away, say that Ministers, officers and troops led by the Jubbaland Dervish Commander, General Ismail Sahardid, have arrived there.
Ahmed Madobe’s forces are said to be preparing to attack the Federal Government forces in Raskambooni.
Raskambooni is a strategic coastal city that is difficult to attack directly, which is a challenge for Jubbaland forces.
The latest reports say that the Kenyan troops who were on the Somali side of the border have retreated and returned to the area of Kiyunga (Kiunga).
An attack by Ahmed Madobe’s forces on Raskambooni will turn the conflict between the Federal Government and Jubbaland into a direct bloodshed war.
