The United Nations Security Council will hold a session on Monday to discuss Israel’s attack on Iran which Israel said was in retaliation for Iran’s missile attack on Israel on the first of this month , which was requested by Algeria, China and Russia, according to Switzerland, which holds the presidency of the United Nations.

”The actions of the Israeli administration are a great threat to international peace and security, and they further destabilize the already fragile region,” said Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, who sent a letter to the Security Council on Saturday.

Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, rejected Iran’s complaint to the United Nations, saying in a statement on Sunday that Tehran “is trying to turn us against us on the diplomatic stage with the absurd claim that Israel has violated international law.”

Israel’s military said dozens of warplanes completed three waves of strikes on missile facilities and other sites near Tehran and western Iran before dawn on Saturday.
