Mogadishu, April 20, 2025 – The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, Hon. Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe), held a meeting today with the Speaker of the Upper House (Senate), Hon. Abdi Hashi Abdullahi.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the two Houses of Parliament, especially in areas of joint legislative responsibility and coordination on national matters.
Both leaders agreed on the urgent need to accelerate the work of the 11th Parliament, particularly in advancing key legislative priorities that are essential for the progress of Somalia’s governance and the well-being of its citizens.
