Ambassador of the Somali Embassy in Uganda Amb. Fardowsa Mohamed Qanyare, who had a meeting today with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uganda, Vincent Bagira, discussed many issues related to the relationship between the two countries.
Amb. Fardowso thanked Uganda for always participating in the peace and government building of Somalia, and she promised that she will do her best to strengthen the relationship between the two countries of Somalia and Uganda.
The Ambassador and the Permanent Secretary also talked about the importance of holding the meetings of the Joint Permanent Commission (JPC) and the best time to hold it and how to prepare for it, with the next meeting scheduled to take place in Mogadishu.
Also the Ambassador several important issues for the Somali community living in Uganda, which need to be addressed .
The Permanent Secretary also promised that Somali students will be treated like those of the EAC, underlining that the matter will be discussed with the Ministry of Education, and then it will be conveyed to all educational institutions in Uganda.
