The President of the Federal Government of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud traveled to Algeria to meet with his counterpart Abdelmadjid Tebboune after he received an official invitation from him according to the reports.
This visit is part of the Somali government’s efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between Somalia and Algeria, especially in the fields of security, economy, energy, and diplomatic cooperation.
The president’s delegation includes members of the cabinet including, Minister of Defense, Minister of Mines and Petroleum , Minister of Animal Husbandry and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdislan Ali Dhay.
Earlier the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Somalia and Algeria who met discussed the strengthening of cooperation in the field of defense, education, economy and the strengthening of relations between these two countries, which are members of the Arab League.
Also during his visit the President will meet with other senior leaders, to discuss the strengthening of relations between the two countries and matters of regional and international cooperation.
