Speaking at a joint iftar event attended by Somali students who studied in Malaysia, Somalia Prime Minister talked about the country is engaged in a fierce battle against Al Shabab who opposes peace and development, and that they have been severely defeated by the national and local forces.
“The plan is not just to repel Al Shabaab, but to eradicate it from the country, because our country cannot make any progress as long as they are present, and it is necessary for us all to unite in fighting them,” said Prime Minister Hamsa.
The Prime Minister lastly thanked the scholars who organized the iftar, called on them to play their part in peace, development, and ongoing state-building, in order to realize the Somali people’s aspiration for a stable and prosperous Somalia.
