The Minister of Defense of Somalia, Abdiqadir Mohamed Noor, gave details of his trip to Djibouti, which is part of the countries where the troops are stationed in Somalia and he was accompanied by the Commander of the Somali Armed Forces general Ibrahim Sheikh Muhyiddin and officials from the Federal Government and the National Armed Forces Command.
Minister Abdiqadir Mohamed Noor, who was reporting on his trip to Djibouti, said that the country’s officials discussed regional security and the new operation of the African Union in Somalia.
“Today we have successfully completed an official visit to the country of our brothers Djibouti. It was an opportunity to discuss regional security and the new mission of the African Union starting in 2025,” said the Minister.
The visit to Djibouti follows the withdrawal of ATMIS from Somalia and the implementation of the new mission known as AUSSOM, which is planned to replace the ATMIS mission that will leave the country.
