Somalia Minister of Finance leading a delegation in representing Somali government the annual meeting of the World Bank and the IMF, which is attended by more than a hundred countries, is holding meetings in Washington DC.
Before the general opening of the conference, they held special meetings with the leaders of the Bank and the IMF , to discuss the results and process of developing the country’s economy.
The Minister and his delegation also had a fruitful meeting with the Vice President of the World Bank for South and East Africa Mrs. Victoria Kwakwa focusing on cooperation, to renew the International Development Program (IDA), reforming economic growth and creating important jobs for the Somali community.
They also had important meeting with Mr. Jihad Azour, who is the Director of the Department of the Middle East and Central Asian Countries, for the development of Somalia’s economy which ended succeful.
The annual meeting of the IMF and the World Bank in 2024 which will be held this year in Washington DC will last for a week.
