The Somali National Intelligence Agency (NISA) announced last night that an airstrike in the Middle Shabelle region killed one of the group’s top leaders.
A statement from NISA said that Yusuf Dhegnaas and other Al Shabaab militants were killed in an operation carried out by the Somali military in the Elbacad area of the Ruunir-good district in the Middle Shabelle region.
Somali Defense Ministry Spokesperson Sheikh Abukar also spoke about the airstrike and confirmed that leader Yusuf Dhagnaas and other members who were guests were killed.
