The Somali National Army is conducting an operation to chase the criminals from the areas of Bay and Gedo regions where the insurgent militias have been harassing the people.
The army destroyed places where the criminals were hiding, so that the people traveling on those roads could extort money from them.
The Commander of the 47th Division of the 8th Battalion of the 60th Division of the Somali National Army Ahmed Mohamed Nur (Ahmed Dhagey) told the media that the operations will continue and the small number of criminals will be eliminated from there hiding.
