In a deeply shocking incident, Fartuun Ahmed Nur, a Somali mother raising six children, was shot and killed inside her home in the Ceelasha Biyaha neighborhood.
According to eyewitnesses, a bulldozer operation led by government forces entered her home compound unexpectedly. When Fartuun questioned the intrusion, reportedly asking, “What is going on? Why are we being entered like this?”, a Somali Police Force officer allegedly shot her in the chest, fatally wounding her.
Her body still remains in a mortuary freezer, as residents demand justice and the immediate arrest of the officer responsible.
So far, there has been no official statement from the Federal Government’s security agencies regarding the killing, which has sparked public outrage and calls for accountability.
