Russia has arrested a man suspected of killing a Russian general.

The security forces of Russia said that they have arrested a man from Uzbekistan, who is suspected of being behind the murder of the senior general of the Russian nuclear weapons guard, Igor Killov, and his deputy who were killed in an explosion in Moscow.

Lt Gen Igor Kirillov, head of the nuclear weapons, and chemical defense forces (NBC), was in a residential building on Tuesday morning when a device hidden on a motorcycle was detonated in the distance.

Russian security agencies said that the suspect was working for the Ukrainian intelligence service, according to Russian government news agencies.

A source in Ukraine told the BBC on Tuesday that the killing of the general and his deputy was organized by the Ukrainian security forces.
