The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamse Abdi Barre, said that the elections will begin in Mogadishu, At the same time, the new governor of Banadir region who took office tonight will be the last one to be nominated.
“We are determined that the advice of the people will be returned and the people of Mogadishu will elect the representative leader, and I hope that the new governor who took office tonight will be the last governor to be appointed,” said Prime Minister Hamse who was talking at the inauguration of the new Governor of Banadir Region and the Mayor of Mogadishu, Mohamed Ahmed Amir.
The Prime Minister urged the new governor of Banadir Region to serve the community of Banadir Region efficiently and honestly, and continue efforts to improve security, cleanliness, beauty and social services in Mogadishu.
Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre thanked the former Governor of Banadir Yusuf Hussein Jimale for the work he did in the security and development of Mogadishu during his tenure.
