A brief statement from the Puntland Anti-Terrorist Operations confirmed that ISIS militants had been expelled from the Warisoor base in the Turmasaale area of the Al-Calmiskaad mountains in the Bari region.
“The army has taken over the ISIS terrorist command in the Warisoor area, in the Turmasaale area of Al-Calmiskaad,” the statement said.
The Puntland defense forces also captured a day before Daesh Terrorism from the main headquarters in the Turmasale area, which is believed to have been the headquarters of the group’s leader Abdiqadir Mu’min in recent years.
