The Puntland defense forces have killed five members of the Daesh group in a planned operation in the area of Koor-Xagarle under the Dhasaan area as confirmed by the officers leading the operation.
During the operation, the army captured one of the fighters alive, while three others were surrounded and are still fighting.
The place where the operation was carried out was where the land mine that killed the commander of the 2nd battalion of the Puntland army was planted.
The operation is still ongoing, and the preliminary reports show that the army is in control of the places suspected to be the base of Daesh fighters.
