President of Jubaland Returns to Kismayo After Official Overseas Visit

The President of the Jubaland State of Somalia, H.E. Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Madobe), has officially returned today to Kismayo, the interim capital of Jubaland, after completing an official working trip abroad over the past few days.

The President was warmly received at Kismayo Airport by members of the Jubaland cabinet, security officials, and large crowds of citizens who gathered to show their support and welcome him back.

According to sources from the President’s office, the overseas trip was focused on strengthening bilateral relations, advancing development initiatives in Jubaland, and discussing key issues related to security and public service delivery. Although specific details of the meetings held during the visit have not yet been disclosed, officials described the trip as highly productive and successful.

President Ahmed’s return comes at a time of shifting political dynamics and reconciliation efforts among federal member states.
