President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, delivered a firm message during a political gathering held this evening to inaugurate the newly formed Justice and Unity Party (JSP) and announce its executive leadership.
In a speech addressing critics and political rivals, the President stated:
“Those whose political base is zero should come forward with constructive ideas—or accept those who have popular support.”
The remark appeared to be directed at politicians or groups who lack grassroots support yet frequently challenge the current political system without offering viable alternatives. President Hassan emphasized that the future of Somalia’s democracy depends on practical solutions, not empty opposition.
The event also saw the official election of President Hassan Sheikh as the Chairman and Presidential Candidate of the Justice and Unity Party, which is expected to play a major role in the country’s political future.
The JSP was introduced as a political platform focused on unity, justice, and inclusive governance, bringing together national leaders and aiming to strengthen Somalia’s democratic transition.
