Mogadishu, May 6, 2025 – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives, and the entire Somali nation following the tragic passing of the late Ugaas Abdullahi Ugaas Farah.
The President praised the significant role Ugaas Abdullahi played in peacebuilding and reconciliation efforts across Somalia, highlighting his contributions to strengthening statehood and promoting national unity.
“Innaa Lillaahi wa innaa Ilayhi raajicuun. May Allah have mercy on Ugaas Abdullahi Ugaas Farah. He was a symbol and a strong pillar of Somali traditional leadership, who played an important role in fostering peace, unity, and development within Somali society,” President Hassan Sheikh stated.
He prayed to Allah to grant the late Ugaas eternal peace in Jannatul Firdaws and to bless his family, loved ones, and the Somali people with patience and faith during this time of loss.
