Mogadishu, May 9, 2025 – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, today attended the funeral prayer for the late Ugaas Abdullahi Ugaas Farah, who recently passed away in Mogadishu.
Following the funeral prayer, President Hassan Sheikh offered heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives, and the Somali nation for the loss of the traditional elder. “May Allah have mercy on Ugaas Abdullahi Ugaas Farah. I pray that Allah grants him Jannatul Firdaws and gives patience and faith to his family and all those affected by his passing,” the President said.
The President was joined at the funeral prayer by the Presidents of Galmudug and Hirshabelle Federal Member States, H.E. Ahmed Abdi Kariye and H.E. Ali Abdullahi Hussein, along with several senior officials from both the Executive and Legislative branches of the Federal Government.
