The French president visited Lebanon to support the reconstruction of the country, after the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel.

Emmanuel Macron announced on Friday that an international conference will be hosted by Paris in the coming weeks, which will focus on the reconstruction of Lebanon after the terrible destruction caused by the war between Hezbollah and Israel.

Macron, who held a press conference at the presidential palace in Beirut with President Joseph Cowen, said the international community must work to support reconstruction.

Macron also called for the immediate implementation of the ceasefire agreement between Hezbollah and Israel. He said that the agreement has brought progress, but it needs to be accelerated.

He emphasized that the Israeli forces should completely withdraw from southern Lebanon, while the weapons of the country are fully in the hands of the Lebanese forces.

On the other hand, the French President praised the election of President Jozaf Cown and the appointment of Prime Minister Nawaf Salaam, saying that this shows an important political development.

He noted that France has always stood by Lebanon, especially in difficult times, and promised that their support will continue to help the country develop.
