At least 27 Al-Shabaab leaders and militia members were killed and others injured in an operation by the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) in Yaaqle area of the Middle Shabelle region.
This targeted operation ended the militias who were gathered from different areas and were being prepared to harass the Somali people.
The operation, which lasted for more than 12 hours, also destroyed a military vehicle and a military vehicle that Al-Shabaab were driving according to the NISA statement.
