The Ministry of Health reported ,at least 60 people were killed in Israeli attacks in the Bekaa region of East Lebanon, two children were among those killed in the attacks, while 12 locations in the Baalbek region were attacked according to the Lebanese authorities.
The Ministry of Health added that 58 people were also injured and rescue efforts are still ongoing.
Israel has launched thousands of airstrikes against Lebanon over the past five weeks, targeting what it says are Hezbollah bases, infrastructure and weapons sites.
However, Israeli army has not yet released any details about the attacks.
The governor of Baalbek, Bachie Khodr, described the attacks as “the worst” in the region since the start of the Hezbollah-Israeli conflict.
