Somalia government Ministers the delegation Turkish government has sent the Mogadishu airport , which was led by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Defense of Turkey, and officials from the Ministry of Energy and Resources are part of the delegation.
The Minister of Petroleum and Minerals of Somalia Mr. Abdirisaaq Omar Mohamed who welcomed the delegation in Mogadishu said that it is a pleasure for them to have high-ranking officials from the Ankara government which is a friend of Somalia, he also will cooperate with the Turkish government to succeed in the exploration plan .
The reports say that the arrival of this delegation is related to the plan of the Turkish ship sent to the shores of Somalia, which will conduct an official oil survey is expected to dock near the waters of Somalia at the end of this month of October, which is expected to take about 19 days.
However , earlier the two countries signed an energy cooperation agreement which was related to oil exploration and production, and allowed the Turkish Petroleum company to obtain licenses for three sites in the Somali Sea.
