Mogadishu – Members of the Federal Parliament of Somalia hailing from the Hawadle clan held a significant meeting today with the Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), Mahad Mohamed Salad, where they expressed their full political and strategic support to the agency.

During the meeting, the MPs emphasized their firm commitment to working closely with all national security institutions, particularly NISA, in the ongoing fight against the Khawarij group (Al-Shabaab). They pledged to play a visible and active role in efforts to liberate remaining areas still under militant control.

NISA Director Mahad Salad, in response, thanked the MPs for their support and stated that the agency is committed to standing by the community militias known as Macawisley, who are on the frontlines battling the extremist group.

This show of unity between lawmakers and the national intelligence leadership comes at a crucial time, as Somalia intensifies efforts to defeat Al-Shabaab and stabilize newly liberated regions.
