Tehran – The Islamic Republic of Iran has strongly condemned a military strike carried out by the United States targeting Iran’s peaceful nuclear sites, calling it a blatant violation of international law and the founding principles of the United Nations.
Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, speaking to the media in Tehran, described the attack as a heinous act and an unprovoked aggression against the sovereignty and independence of a full member of the United Nations.
“The war-driven administration in Washington is solely responsible for the dangerous consequences of its aggression,” Araghchi stated.
He added that Iran will never compromise on its sovereignty and independence, and will continue to defend its nation and people.
“This military strike once again exposes the deep hostility of the United States towards the peace-loving people of Iran. The Islamic Republic of Iran remains committed to defending its sovereignty, independence, and the security of its citizens,” he said.
Iran has warned the United States that any further aggression will be met with a firm response and has called on the international community to condemn what it describes as a “blatant and unlawful act of aggression.”
