Bandits shut down Haiti’s airport and attacked passenger plane.

The international airport of the capital of Haiti was temporarily closed on Monday,after heavly armed group fired a passenger plane belonging to the United States that was parked at the airport, which was confirmed by United States Department of State and the management of the company that owns Spirit Airlines , that took place inside the international airport of Port-Au-Prince.

The plane took off from Fort Lauderdale in the state of Florida to Port-Au-Prince, it also been confirmed that several bullets were fired from inside the plane and that some of the passengers suffered minor injuries.

The plane later landed in the Dominican Republic. The US Embassy said that the group of gangs that attacked wanted to stop traffic in the capital city of Port-au-Prince.

On the other hand, the new Prime Minister of Haiti, Alix Didier Fils-Aime, was sworn into office last night, after replacing Garry Connile, who was fired after six months in office.

Haiti has been plunged into chaos and civil war after the assassination of former president Jovenel Moise. Most of the country is dominated by heavily armed gangs.
