The commander of the Somali National Army ,S/Gaas Ibrahim Sheikh Muhuddin ,accompained by the Special Operations Commander of the US ,Colonel David Haskell arrived today in the Middle Shabelle region who started activities there.
The commander of the Somali National Army together with the officials who accompained him met with the officers of the Somali National army in the Middle Shabelle discussed how to eliminate Al-Shabab in the areas were they are still in the country.
Also the Commander ordered the officers to prepared for the fight against terrorist with the help of the area residents.
These activities comes after Middle Shabelle has now started operations against Al-Shabab Militias in areas of Ruun-nigrood district in the region.
These week also, there was heavy attack targeting Al-Shabab in the forest between Hiraan and Middle Shabelle.
The officials from the United State welcome this operation and they are also ready to support the Somali government war against Al-Shabab.
