At least 34 people have died in ,several injured people in a critical condition in a massive fire blast during work on Monday in the industrial area of Sigachi in the southern Indian state of Telangana, news agencies reported.
“As many as 31 bodies have been pulled out from the rubble while three others died in hospital while undergoing treatment,” senior district police officer Paritosh Pankaj told the Press Trust of India.
“The unfortunate incident has resulted in loss of life and there may be injuries to some individuals,” a press release issued by Sigachi Industries said.
About 60 people were in the building when the explosion occurred, which caused the building to completely collapse.
