Mogadishu | May 7, 2025 – This morning, two landmine explosions targeted checkpoints manned by Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) in the districts of Wadajir and Yaqshid in Mogadishu.
The coordinated blasts were aimed at disrupting NISA operations as officers were stationed at key entry points into the districts. No casualties have been reported so far, and security forces have launched an immediate investigation into the incident.
Preliminary information suggests the attacks were meant to undermine national security efforts, although no group has yet claimed responsibility.
