The Interministerial Coordination and Resource Mobilization Meeting on Blue Economy, organized by the Ministry of Fisheries and Blue Economy of Somalia, opened in Mogadishu.
This meeting focuses on the approval of procedures to strengthen coordination,management, the review and approval of the report on the Blue Economy in Somalia ,and also the development of strategies for the coordination of resources to support the implementation of the National Blue Economy Strategy.
Ms. Ra’isa Mohamed , the Director of the Blue Economy Department of the Ministry said the ministry gives special priority to the implementation of complete procedures that can be managed together with the Blue Economy Development Plans in the country.
Also the ministers of the ministries involved in the Blue Economy will officially implement the procedures presented, these procedures are in line with the National Strategy for the Blue Economy and the National Fisheries Management and Development Law.
