Tehran – Early this morning, Iranian security forces announced that they had executed a number of individuals accused of working as spies for the Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad, operating inside Iran.
According to Iranian state media, the individuals were allegedly involved in covert operations that threatened national security and were said to be in direct contact with foreign intelligence networks, particularly Israel.
So far, Israeli officials have not commented on the claims made by Iran. The development comes amid escalating tensions between the two countries, following recent cross-border attacks and retaliations.
Iranian intelligence sources stated that further investigations are ongoing, and more arrests are expected in the coming weeks as authorities continue to dismantle what they describe as a foreign espionage network.
