Baxdo, Galmudug – June 3, 2025 – The President of Galmudug State, Ahmed Abdi Kariye (Qoorqoor), arrived today in the town of Baxdo, where he was received with an enthusiastic and large-scale public welcome.
The reception was marked by a strong turnout of regional and district-level officials, military officers, youth groups, women, and community elders, all showing their support and confidence in the leadership of the Galmudug administration.
President Qoorqoor’s visit comes at a time when parts of the Galgaduud region continue to face security challenges. He is expected to hold meetings with security commanders and local community leaders to discuss strengthening peace efforts and enhancing military operations against Al-Shabaab militants.
