Addis Ababa, June 3, 2025 – Ethiopian Airlines has announced that it generated $5.6 billion in revenue over the past nine months, marking an 8% increase compared to the same period last year.
The airline also reported a 13% rise in passenger numbers, having transported 14.5 million passengers during the nine-month period. This growth reflects the airline’s continued recovery and expansion amid global aviation competition.
As part of its fleet expansion strategy, 10 new aircraft have been added to Ethiopian Airlines’ operational fleet, and the carrier has launched flights to four new destinations in the same timeframe.
Ethiopian Airlines is widely regarded as one of Ethiopia’s most successful and strategically important state-owned enterprises, playing a key role in connecting Africa with the rest of the world.
