Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, has been given a high-ranking job, after he showed great support for Donald Trump, during his presidential election campaign.
The man who owns X, Tesla and SpaceX will lead a new department called the “Department of Government Transparency and Accountability”, which will provide recommendations and examples related to reducing government spending and regulations.
So far, no further details have been given on how this new department will work, but it seems that it will be independent from other regular government departments.
The president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, said that this department will work on “consultation” outside the government, but will cooperate with the White House and the Office of Budget Management.
