On this day, October 7, 2023, an extraordinary attack took place in Israel by Hamas fighters using rockets, motorcycles and parachutes to attack the most powerful forces in the Middle East and also today marks one year anniversary of the war in Gaza.
The attack on October 7 was the most serious test of Israel’s defenses since the 1973 Arab War, two years of which Hamas kept its military plans under wraps while convincing Israel it was not ready for war.
At least 1,200 people were killed in the attack by Hamas, and around 250 Israelis were taken hostage and taken to the Gaza Strip which Israel described the attack as a terrorist attack.
Israel responded to the attack by carrying out a series of airstrikes in the city of Gaza which today mark a year in there attacks in killing about 40,000 Palestinians amost whom are women and children also displaced millions of Palestinians.
