Reports from the Bari region indicate that last night, US warplanes carried out heavy airstrikes on ISIS militant bases in Baallade stream, especially in the Maraagade well area, Calimiskaad Mountains of the region.
The airstrikes in the Maraagade area targeted ISIS hideouts, believed to include senior Somali officials.
Puntland government’s defense forces recently carried out a heavy operation in two directions along the Baallade River, including the Maraagade well, where ISIS members were killed.
The casualties caused by the airstrike is not yet known .
Puntland government’s defense forces confirmed to the media that the ISIS remnants trapped in Calimiskaad are now less than 100 .
