The US said it had attacked three nuclear facilities in Iran: Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow – the latter believed to have been the most difficult and valuable target.
According to preliminary information, 30 GBU-57 bombs were dropped on the Fordow nuclear facility, each bomb weighing 14 tons, which means that 420 tons of explosives were dropped on the Fordow facility.
Iranian media reported that the nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan had been stripped of their weapons of mass destruction before the US strikes tonight.
Media close to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard said that Tehran was now awaiting a clear response to US bases in the region.
