The United States government announced on Sunday that it is sending modern air defense missiles and American troops to Israel, to strengthen Israel’s air defense system, days after Iran fired missiles at Israel.
President Joe Biden described this move as defending Israel.
Which this coincided with the expectation that Israel will respond to the heavy bombardment it faced on October 1 against Iran, which hit more than 180 missiles in retaliation for the assassinations of Hamas and Hezbollah leaders and an Iranian general.
The United States has been giving weapons to Israel in recent months, in order to protect it from Iran and other groups to support US interests in the region.
