US President Donald Trump has said he is not impressed with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, after he launched a massive airstrike in Ukraine.
In an unprecedented move, Trump lashed out at Putin, asking what the hell he got himself into. He later called Putin a “crazy man.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has previously said that Washington’s silence on the Russian attack is emboldening Putin, and has urged strong pressure on Russia – including sanctions – to force a ceasefire.
At least 12 people were killed and many more injured after Russia launched missiles and drones into Ukraine overnight – the deadliest single-night airstrike since Putin invaded the country in 2022.
