Ukraine said that its air defense system shot down 8 out of 11 Russian drones that attacked Ukraine last night, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
Shahed drones – also known as “kamikaze” – were shot down in Poltava, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv and Kyiv regions, while three others were reported as “missing”.
Russia also attacked the Sumy region of Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and a Kh-59 missile, according to the air force’s statement.
The Sumy administration said that at least 10 people died in the Russian attacks last night in Ukraine.
